My favorite piece of technology

 Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog.

    Today I`ll write about my favorite piece of technology. 

    One of my favorite pieces of technology is the phone; although I also have other favorite pieces like the camera or the robot vacuum cleaner; however, I choose this piece to talk about this topic because I think that  the evolution of the phone has been incredible.  Thanks to technological advances the phone has increased its functions:  at present, for example, besides being able to make calls, we can take pictures with the camera on the mobile phone, we can find information on the internet, we can use GPS that helps us find and share locations, and on top of that, we can communicate easily with people of different cultures and parts of the world. 

    When I was 12 or 13 years old, I like to talk with my best friend on the home phone (landline phone). I liked the idea that we could communicate despite the distance. Then when I grew up more I began using a mobile phone, now I could talk to my best friend from anywhere and not only from the kitchen (there located landline phone). 

    At present, I use the phone for the same reason I did when I was a child, to communicate with others. However, now with technological advances, I use the phone to search for information on the internet, take pictures  at special moments with my family or friends, and sometimes I also use it to study. I try not to use the mobile phone too much, but definitely, it`s  part of life now.

I imagine life without a phone would be less immediate because communicating at a distance would be difficult, and the information would not be in our hands too easy.
